Your childlike hand
Connects at the fingertips
With a quivering hand
That of mine
Your approach delicate
Grasp – firm
You see me
As the broken man that
I am
Yet you don’t see me as
Weak
As I believe myself to be.

Insightful of the man. If I am not mistaken it is a child that has grown up looking at his father. If not I need another Gin and tonic with a twist of lime lol Nice write.

It was more romantic in nature, but sure, your story works too! π
P.S. Make sure you pass me a drink!

I look forward to it. I’ll be posting a children’s story which I have written over 1000 pieces. It began to be too much rhyming everything for kids that I just gave it up. There is so much you can write about for children. Be well.

Wonderful! Love sees not what we see as weaknesses in ourselves…such a beautiful image you paint for us, Rose!

Thank you, Thomas. I think the best quality of love is it’s ability to identify in others the qualities they see as their weaknesses. There is beauty in being broken too! π

I agree (so does my character who often couches things in such poetic terms)

It is so him. That poem expresses how he sees himself and the world, which we all know is completely inaccurate. He was nodding as I read it.

He’s a dreamer.. Isn’t he?πβ¨β¨

Yes and his magic does interesting things with all that daydreaming. It takes everything he thinks, says and does as instructions and he doesn’t always notice but his son does and he reports it to the reader π
